Data Security Awareness Training: Arm Your Workers With Effective Cyber Threat Prevention Tactics

Webinar: ID# 1023261
Recorded On-Demand
About This Course:
It seems like every day we see reports of data security breaches and new, more sophisticated threats to your company’s sensitive information.

While a company’s employees are in many ways its biggest asset, when it comes to data breaches, they can also be its greatest liability. If staff isn’t properly trained on how to “behave” when clicking links or downloading apps and other information to their work computers and devices, they could be putting your company at real—and grave—risk for hack attacks, data corruption, data breaches, and other headaches.

The fact is the majority of employees aren’t acting with malice; rather, they’re falling prey to deceptive tactics used by savvy attackers. Phishing schemes, ransomware, and CEO spoofing can cause great damage to your data assets, causing data corruption and loss, lost productivity and serious financial burdens. It’s time to get your employees thinking like front-line data security defenders, and considering questions like:
  • Why does the sender want me to click this link?
  • Can installing this app on my work phone create issues?
  • Is there someone I can call to check on this request?
Join us when David Frier, the program manager of information security risk assessment for Xerox, will teach you how to deliver security awareness training that’s fun and effective so your employees can be important players in your cyber defense.

Learning Objectives:
  • Recommendations on how long workplace security awareness training should be, what it should cover, and the most effective format to follow

  • How to jumpstart the discussion about delivering security awareness training in your workplace
