About This Course:
In October 2015, the EPA finalized regulations for underground storage tanks. The new regulations make significant changes to the existing UST regulations including but not limited to training operators, installing secondary containment, and ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of the tank system.

States that do not have state program approval (SPA) from the EPA, U.S. territories, and Indian land, must follow the existing federal regulations that are currently in effect. However, the remaining 38 states that do have SPA must undergo regulatory rulemaking to meet the federal minimum requirements for USTs by October 13, 2018.

The flurry of rule making required to get up to par with federal minimums may seem overwhelming and confusing for many UST owners and operators, especially with tank systems in multiple states.

Even while October 2018 may seem distant, it is critical for UST owners and operators to be aware of the regulatory changes that lie ahead and how the new regulations will impact their facility’s operations.

Join us for an informative webinar lead by a seasoned UST industry expert who will discuss the importance of the new tank regulations, how states are coming into compliance, as well as how these regulations will impact your facility’s operations.

Learning Objectives:
  • What EPA updated and revised rules mean for your operations
  • How the UST regulations can differ from state to state and what that means for your tanks
  • Common problems and mistakes operators can avoid making when complying with the new regulations
  • Tips for preparing for the upcoming October 13th deadline
