About This Course:
Learn how and when your organization needs to update its SPCC plan to remain compliant with EPA’s regulations and avoid fines of up to $100,000.

The EPA continues to inspect petroleum storage facilities and finds many of them in violation of SPCC plan requirements. Fines and other financial burdens on the order of $100,000 and more are tacked onto non-compliant organizations, and in the future penalties may become more aggressive for organizations that are not compliant with EPA regulations.

There are three key questions to ask yourself when it comes to SPCC compliance:
  • Have you recently relocated the fuel tanks at your site or shifted your site layout in any way?
  • Have you changed the size of the storage tanks on your site?
  • And, has the emergency spill response contactor or inspection personnel changed?
If you answered “YES” to any of these questions, or have run into any other circumstances which could warrant changing compliance requirements, then it’s critical that you update your current SPCC plan.

Whether it’s tank relocation, new personnel, or an aging plan that is coming up on the 5-year mark, staying up to date on SPCC compliance concerns is critical for avoiding major fines.

Join us for an in depth webinar where Patrick Wicks will discuss the scenarios that call for a plan update and how to implement changes by a relevant deadline.

You’ll learn:
  • How to tell if facility design, construction, operation, maintenance or other changes means you must update your SPCC plan

    • Changes in tank product or service
    • Commissioning and decommissioning containers
    • Replacement, reconstruction, and movement of containers
