Top OSHA Compliance Challenges For 2018: Legal And Regulatory Safety Hot Spots To Prepare For—Immediately

SKU:WC-1026528
Date / Time: Recorded
Format: Webinar
Description:

Are you ready for 2018? Federal OSHA is. The Agency has released its priorities and strategies for FY 2018, which include key areas such as enforcement strategies and priorities, regulatory and standard setting focus, and employee/employer and state outreach.

Throughout 2018, OSHA will continue to have new standards coming down the pipeline, as well as reopening of Obama-era rules. Expect changes to the Voluntary Protection Program, other cooperative efforts such as partnerships and alliances, and to National Emphasis Programs and other critical enforcement activities.

However, if we’ve learned anything over the past year, appropriation bills and continuing resolutions are only part of the story. How things actually shake out will take time, and will likely not occur in a straight line.

Join us when Adele Abrams, a seasoned safety lawyer who has done exhaustive tracking of “all things OSHA,” will share with attendees a detailed picture of what to expect in 2018, and how to prepare immediately.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Identify the key enforcement strategies that OSHA plans to take in 2018
  • Evaluate personnel or structural changes that have occurred within OSHA since the election that may affect your operation
  • Identify and evaluate other OSHA activities so you can be “one step ahead” of new requirements
  • Assess suggested strategies for participating in key regulatory activity
  • Asses the role that Congress and the Executive branch may play in 2018
  • Interpret significant activity that may occur from special interest groups, NGOs, or labor

About Webcasts / Audio Conferences / Podcasts:

Webcasts, audio conferences, and podcasts are presentations that you attend via the Internet, phone, or mobile device at a specified date and time for "live" versions, or at your convenience for "recorded" and "On-Demand" versions.

The live versions are interactive, meaning that participants can ask questions in real time, plus are a very cost-effective form of training because 1) you receive fast, convenient learning without any out-of-office time; 2) you can invite as many colleagues as you'd like to listen in on a single phone line; 3) you incur no travel expenses; and 4) you and your colleagues are back at work immediately after the session ends!

And though with recorded versions you do lose the ability to ask questions, you gain the ability to hear the presentation numerous times and to share it with others in your office.

Handout materials and the phone number for live presentations are made available to you prior to the event via email from the presenter and from the "MyAccount" link on the menu bar. Copies of the presentations are included with recorded versions.
