SKU:WC-1024021

Description:

According to OSHA, thousands of people are blinded each year due to preventable work-related eye injuries. Additionally, the cost to employers is more than $300 million as result of lost time, medical bills, and workers’ compensation costs.

To minimize the risk of eye and face injuries in your workplace, it’s critical to take time to craft a comprehensive eye and face protection safety program. If you already have such a program in place, it’s important to take time to evaluate how effective it really is and how it could be improved upon.

Join us for an in-depth webinar on how to interpret OSHA’s detailed requirements for eye and face protection, as well as how to ensure that workers are adhering to recommended practices from eye-protection manufacturers. You’ll learn how to develop a compliant, comprehensive, and cost-effective eye and face protection program.

You’ll learn:

  • OSHA eye and face protection rules you must follow
  • Costly fines and penalties your organization could face for non-compliance uncovered during an OSHA inspection, investigation, or some other reason
  • How to evaluate whether a work area or job requires eye and face protection
  • The most common ways eye and face injuries occur so you can train workers on what to do and not do to keep them safe
  • Best practices for selecting eye and face protection based on a given job
  • How to develop and implement an effective and comprehensive eye and face protection program—and signs that an existing program could use some improvement
  • Tips for publicizing your eye and face protection program among the workforce
  • Training requirements to consider and how to proceed if a worker disobeys essential practices designed to keep their eyes and face safe
  • How to address contact lenses within your eye and face protection policy
  • Pointers for ensuring proper administration of your eye and face protection program
  • The type of documentation required for an eye and face protection program
  • How to ensure that eye and face protection is maintained to OSHA standards and manufacture recommendations
  • How to tell who should pay for eye protection

About Webcasts / Audio Conferences / Podcasts:

Webcasts, audio conferences, and podcasts are presentations that you attend via the Internet, phone, or mobile device at a specified date and time for "live" versions, or at your convenience for "recorded" and "On-Demand" versions.

The live versions are interactive, meaning that participants can ask questions in real time, plus are a very cost-effective form of training because 1) you receive fast, convenient learning without any out-of-office time; 2) you can invite as many colleagues as you'd like to listen in on a single phone line; 3) you incur no travel expenses; and 4) you and your colleagues are back at work immediately after the session ends!

And though with recorded versions you do lose the ability to ask questions, you gain the ability to hear the presentation numerous times and to share it with others in your office.

Handout materials and the phone number for live presentations are made available to you prior to the event via email from the presenter and from the "MyAccount" link on the menu bar. Copies of the presentations are included with recorded versions.
