OSHA Injury Recordkeeping Tips

Believe it or not, more than half of the companies that OSHA inspected in the past year were cited for recordkeeping violations.

And while it seems that though most organizations ARE filling out the forms, they're just not doing it correctly. Unfortunately for these organizations, they paid millions of dollars in fines.

To make matters worse, OHSA recently made changes to the Injury Recordkeeping Standard, so even if you did it correctly in the past, you might not in the future. Not understanding this Standard can result in even more citations and fines. Even simple mistakes in filling out the required forms can result in big fines.

But you CAN avoid these problems! This session will simplify and clarify the recordkeeping regulations that can be difficult to understand. Our expert speaker, with many years of experience in dealing with OSHA regulations, will help you get a good handle on what OSHA requires of employers and will provide simple methods you can use to ensure OSHA compliance.

Learning Objectives:

This training session will focus on the OSHA Recordkeeping Standard and its often-confusing rules for classifying injuries, and then address some of the most common mistakes companies make in filling out their OSHA logs.

By attending, you will learn:

  • The five most common mistakes companies make when filling out their logs – and how to avoid them!
  • Which information you are required to collect by OSHA
  • Deciding what to do with the information from your incident reports
  • Setting up an incident reporting system that will make sure your logs are correct
  • Understanding the difference between "reporting" an injury and "recording" an injury
  • What to expect in the new quarterly electronic reporting of injury data

Cannot Attend The Live Presentation?

This presentation is also available in a recorded format, in On-Demand Or CD versions, as shown in the pricing options below.

About Webcasts / Audio Conferences / Podcasts:

Webcasts, audio conferences, and podcasts are presentations that you attend via the Internet, phone, or mobile device at a specified date and time for "live" versions, or at your convenience for "recorded" and "On-Demand" versions.

The live versions are interactive, meaning that participants can ask questions in real time, plus are a very cost-effective form of training because 1) you receive fast, convenient learning without any out-of-office time; 2) you can invite as many colleagues as you'd like to listen in on a single phone line; 3) you incur no travel expenses; and 4) you and your colleagues are back at work immediately after the session ends!

And though with recorded versions you do lose the ability to ask questions, you gain the ability to hear the presentation numerous times and to share it with others in your office.

Handout materials and the phone number for live presentations are made available to you prior to the event via email from the presenter and from the "MyAccount" link on the menu bar. Copies of the presentations are included with recorded versions.
