Title:

Safety Compliance For Remote Employees

Date / Time: Recorded
Format: Webcast
Description: There’s a good chance that at least some of your employees work somewhere other than your business headquarters—maybe they work at remote jobsites, from home or at Starbucks.

As you’ve undoubtedly discovered, it’s hard to get a handle on safety compliance when your workers are offsite. But you still have the responsibility to ensure safe work practices, control exposure to hazardous substances, and conduct prompt investigations in the event of an accident or safety-related complaint. You know you have to do this—but where to start?

Join us for a 90-minute webinar in which our speaker—an attorney and nationally recognized OSH expert—will address these challenges and provide practical tips for managing your remote workers and keeping them out of harm’s way. (Not to mention reducing the risk of citations, fines, and lawsuits.)

You’ll Learn:
  • What the OSH Act requires of you regarding the safety of workers who aren’t under your roof
  • Strategies to avoid negligent supervision and negligent training lawsuits
  • Effective tips for onboarding and training workers at remote sites
  • The latest on OSHA’s multi-employer enforcement program, and other considerations for off-site workers
  • How to avoid the most common—and costly—problems relating to the safety of off-site workers
  • How to be sure that remote employees are following the rules, and what to do when they don't
About Your Speaker:

This presentation is also available on CD after the initial broadcast.
About Webcasts / Audio Conferences / Podcasts: Webcasts, audio conferences, and podcasts are presentations that you attend via the Internet, phone, or mobile device at a specified date and time for "live" versions, or at your convenience for "recorded" and "On-Demand" versions.

The live versions are interactive, meaning that participants can ask questions in real time, plus are a very cost-effective form a training because 1) you receive fast, convenient learning without any out-of-office time; 2) you can invite as many colleagues as you'd like to listen in on a single phone line; 3) you incur no travel expenses; and 4) you and your colleagues are back at work immediately after the session ends!

And though with recorded versions you do lose the ability to ask questions, you gain the ability to hear the presentation numerous times and to share it with others in your office.

Handout materials and the phone number for live presentations are made available to you prior to the event via email from the presenter and from the "MyAccount" link on the menu bar. Copies of the presentations are included with recorded versions.
